East Superior Christian Church in 2005 added a new multi-purpose room for use as a fellowship hall, recreation center, etc. Since the room will be configured differently for each use, a versatile and flexible audio solution was needed. Coverage of the entire room is provided by an Electro-Voice ZX-5; this is a brand new series of speaker from EV featuring the all-new DXV3150, 500W, 15-inch woofer and the all-new 2-inch neodymium ND2 compression driver. There are three speaker jacks on the other 3 walls, so the electronics can be located in the most convenient spot for each activity. The rolling equipment rack includes a Mackie 1400 power amplifier, storage drawer for mikes, and a 100-foot snake for use with the Praise Band. The mixer is the Mackie 1604 that had until recently been the main mixer in the sanctuary; it has been replaced by a new Mackie SR32-4 32-channel console.
